How to Make a Gelatinous Cube [Part 2]
Start to finish, this project took 40 minutes. Seriously. :)
Scrap Plastic for Homemade Gelatinous Cube
Here's a video showing the kind of plastic I used to make the Gelatinous Cube. Excuse the poor production values. :)

Daffy Duck on the Borderlands
If you haven't already seen this, watch it now: (hat tip to Dr. Rotwang!)
Near the end of the video, Daffy is flying on a dragon over a keep. Here's a pic of the keep:
Does that castle/keep layout look familiar to anyone else?

Harrison Ford Interviews
I just watched these over at Cacto Cacography and I have to pass them on.
Jon Favreau interviews Harrison Ford about Cowboys and Aliens and a bunch of other stuff too!
Check them out! You won't be sorry if you are a Harrison Ford fan!

There's a trailer on the web for the new Pixar movie, BRAVE. I thought I'd share.

Castle of the Mad Archmage (Video)
Here's an actual play video of my group going through the Castle of the Mad Archmage. I'm the DM.
This was recorded awhile ago and I forgot to post it. It's not the most exciting bit of play, but heck, it's a start. Maybe I'll post some more from this session if folks are interested.
Enjoy!

J. J. Abrams is a DM at heart!
J. J. Abrams was on the Daily Show last night and he offered some advice about writing for television that can be used at the game table.
Substitute "player" for "blogger" and his advice makes a lot of sense.
I can't embed the video from Comedy Central -- you'll have to visit the link. Fast forward to about 18:00.

If you haven't seen this video on TED, consider watching it too. Very inspirational!
Enjoy!
PS: here's one take on JB's "Bear Hug" controversy from the "sneak preview" at the beginning of the clip. I don't think it really settles anything. In fact, it just unsettles me... :)

Going Postal
This is a trailer from a new Terry Pratchett/Discworld novel that I've never heard of. My wife used to work for the United States Post Office, so I'm familiar with the connotation.
I thought the clip was filled with a lot of inspiring stuff.
Enjoy!

How NOT to use Puzzles in your OSR game
At some point in the near future, I'll post the ways I use puzzles in my games. Until then, here's a cautionary tale about how not to use puzzles in your Old School game.
(In fairness, I like his idea about hiding a clue and making puzzles subplots, but at the end.... Ugh!)

Caves - Virtual Flythrough
Found this virtual flythrough of a place called, "Mortimer's Hole, Castle Rock." There's a website with other cave links too!
It's just crying out to be mapped as part of something like Tegel Manor or the Keep on the Borderlands. I can see the tunnels leading away down the hill or cliff... Very cool!
