Green Devil Face 3D Printed

This feature is LEGENDARY in the infamous S1 Tomb of Horrors by Gary Gygax.  Now you can print (a version of) it for your own game.  Derived from OpenForge, it is compatible with Dwarven Forge and other tabletop tile systems.

Enjoy!

My Respects for DAT

It appears that the funeral will be private and it is important that we respect that.  I want everyone who reads this to know that I am not advocating crashing the service.

It would be disrespectful and awful to do that.  :(  Don't do it.

Let's all take a moment to remember the man and respect his privacy.

I will be thinking about him today.

DAT RIP

I don't have anything more to add to the memories.  I just have a sense of sadness.

I'll be lifting a pint to remember the man.  I knew him through his art alone.  Long before we lost him forever, I felt an abiding sense of loss that came from knowing he was out there, somewhere, but he was in a self imposed exile.

Now, I read, that he was planning to resurface into the RPG world at a con next month, and suddenly he is gone.

Here are some pictures to remember him by.  The group is not all inclusive.  Just do a Google search.  You'll be amazed.

So long and thanks for all the art!  You will be missed!

Trampier Easter Egg

Jeff Rients mentions this over at his blog, but I just had to post about it to call it out for those of you who may not have seen it.

In the back of the 1st Ed DMG is a picture of "Emirikol the Chaotic."  This is one of the most iconic images within the whole DMG, or in any 1st Ed book for that matter.  Here it is if you've never seen it:

Emirikol was drawn by the legendary Dave Trampier who is also the author of Wormy, one of the classic cartoons that could be found in The Dragon magazine back in the day.  Here's Wormy:

Anyway, in the new DUNGEON CRAWL CLASSICS, page 49 has an homage to Emirikol.  It is excellent and a fantastic tribute to a legendary artist.  Here it is:

I want to call your attention to the sign on the wall above "Lokerimon the Lawful."  It's Woimy himself! Here's a detail:

TOO FREAKING AWESOME!
